Felix Cardenas has once again rode a strong race for Team Barloworld at the Giro d'Italia. He finished seventh in the 18th stage, ahead of general classification leader Alberto Contador, from Astana and last year's race winner Danilo Di Luco, from LPR Brakes. His seventh place has also seen him advance to 11th overall and to 6th on the mountains classification.
